A celebration of the immortal discography of Frank Ocean, in collaboration with Café Gumbo. Our good friends at Café Gumbo provide exquisite drink services for a plethora of our events, as well as hosting their own community events and activations. Café Gumbo is a functional streetwear and contemporary design pop-up collective with an impressive résumé of activations at indie boutiques throughout the Bay Area.
This celebration of Frank Ocean, titled “Blonde Espresso,” was curated by Café Gumbo to pay homage to Frank’s discography with cutty tributes like specially made drinks named after Frank’s hit songs, “White Ferrari” and “Blonde.” The vinyl sets were mixed by San Francisco-based DJ AM:PM. AM:PM (Adrian Mejia : Post Modern) mixed original pressings of Nostalgia Ultra, Channel Orange, Blonde, and even Ocean’s 2016 visual album, Endless.
On a quiet, rainy Friday night in late November, 3319 Marché was the coziest place to be. Layered vintage rugs and an array of Togo sofas, mixed with the warmth of some fine Cali tree, truly created an essence of Frank Ocean that kept everyone cozy and cuddled up au Marché.
