Réplique

“Réplique,” a pop-up store in collaboration with the Oakland-rooted brand Basilica Design Studio, featured a limited release of merchandise inspired by bootlegging through hip-hop and Bay Area culture. Réplique (French for "replica") was more than just an event title or marketing gimmick. It was an in-depth psychoanalysis of bootlegging, featuring hands-on research and live documentation within the environment.

In the lead-up to the event with Basilica, 3319 Marché produced gritty campaign work in some of the most iconic areas of bootlegging on the West Coast. Product campaigns were shot in Santee Alley (Los Angeles), amid an abundance of knockoff Louis Vuitton bags and Air Jordan sneakers.

The event featured a full collection of bootleg hip-hop-inspired graphic tees, with the option to customize items with airbrush art by artist @artblows. Sounds were mixed by DJs Xavier (@Alai.theguy) and GULU (@calebmahlungulu), with drinks provided by Cafe Gumbo.
